Even when the Middlebury Library is open for business, there may be some circumstances (e.g. construction, reduced hours, epidemics) where we are operating with limited or no access to some collections. In these times, we may be unable to provide physical access to our government information collections.

In these cases, access to online government information is available as usual through computers, the Middlebury Library catalog (MIDCAT), our Government Documents Research Guide, and our virtual reference services (e.g. email, chat, text).

We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will seek to minimize limited access to our physical collections. In the meantime, you may contact the University of Maine Government Documents (our Regional depository) or the University of Vermont Government Documents for help with government information. Contact information for other nearby libraries can be found in the Federal Depository Library Directory.
