Yes! Your interactions with librarians and library staff are exempt from the restrictions of the Language Pledge. Conversations should focus on research and use of library resources (library materials, technology, reference tools, etc.) and last as long as is necessary to satisfy your academic and educational needs. Some library personnel may even speak the language students are studying. Check by asking.
