Visitors are welcome to come to the main Middlebury College campus and use both the Davis Family Library and the Armstrong Library in person.

Three Ways to Use Our Libraries:

  • On-Site: Visitors may use both our print and many online resources within the libraries. However, they will not be able to access them remotely when off campus.
  • Computers: Daily guest passwords are available at the Circulation Desk and will allow users access to our computers.
  • Borrowing: To check materials out, some visitors are eligible for guest borrower cards. Details can be found here.

Librarians can offer an introduction to our resources. Visitors might consider bringing a USB drive or other portable file-saving device to store articles/digital files they would like to access later. Remember there is a charge for printing. Also, we cannot borrow materials from other libraries on your behalf. If an item is desired from another library, check with your local public library about interlibrary loan.

It is advisable to check our library hours before visiting. They can be found at go.middlebury.edu/hours. Research help hours can be found here.

Research Desk Hours

Come visit a librarian at the Research Desk! The desk is located across from the DVD collection on the main floor of Davis Family Library. See below for the hours we'll be at the desk this week.

You can also visit us in our offices (LIB 206-211) during regular business hours.
