There are several soundproof audio/visual recording studios on campus for high quality recording.  The primary one is in Sunderland, and is scheduled by ITS/Media Services. There is a student one in FIC. In addition, College Communication and the Film & Media Studies Dept (FMMC) have their own studios that sometimes can be used by special arrangement.

More information about scheduling these spaces may be found in the Media Services Wiki under audio production.

If a soundproof location isn't needed, individuals may reserve a group study room in the library for this purpose or use the Wilson Media Lab if background noise isn't an issue. Software such as Audacity (open source/free) and Panopto can be used for recording from a desktop computer or laptop. DLINQ interns in the Wilson Media Lab can provide advice and assistance with this software and other resources.
